The Fifth International Workshop on High Performance Computing
for Nano-science and Technology

Nov. 15 (Sunday) in Room A109, Portland Conventional Center, Portland, Oregon, USA

In conjunction with IEEE/ACM SC'09, Nov. 14-20, 2009, Portland Conventional Center, Portland, Oregon, USA

Welcome

Nanotechnology is an exciting field with many potential  applications. Its impact is already being felt in materials,  engineering, electronics, medicine, and other disciplines. Current  research in nanotechnology requires multi-disciplinary knowledge, not  only in sciences and engineering but also in HPC. This workshop offers  academic researchers, developers, and practitioners an opportunity to  discuss various aspects of HPC-related computational methods and  problem solving techniques for nanotechnology research.

The first workshop, HPCNano05 was a successful event held in conjunction with IEEE/ACM SC|05. The second workshop, HPCNano06 was held in conjunction with IEEE/ACM SC|06. The third workshop, HPCNano07 was held in conjunction with IEEE/ACM SC|07. HPCNano08 was held in conjunction with IEEE/ACM SC|08. HPCNano09 will be held in conjunction with SC'09. The workshop will be guided by the SC|09’s Workshop Committee and planned and operated independently by the workshop program committee. We hope to attract people from diverse science and engineering disciplines, nationally and internationally, to attend the workshop, present their research results, share their experiences and ideas, and plan future collaborations.

HPCNano|09 invites researchers to present their research work and/or submit original and unpublished work in any aspect of high performance computing in nano-science and technology.
